About the Cacao Ceremony

A cacao ceremony is a spiritual and grounding practice where the students consume ceremonial-grade cacao in a setting that promotes deep healing, self-reflection, connection, and mindfulness. The cacao used in these ceremonies is typically raw, unprocessed, and rich in antioxidants and theobromine, a natural stimulant that enhances mood and mental clarity.

This gentle plant medicine has been used for thousands of years as a heart opener and has benefits for the body, heart, and soul.

“I participated in a cacao ceremony in Mexico that was deeply soulful for me. It felt like a communal prayer that was both soothing and nourishing at the same time. Drinking the sacredly prepared cacao was like taking liquid goodness infused with so much ancient love. I can’t wait to experience this with Chase as our guide at Inner Bliss.” - Tammy Lyons, Inner Bliss owner

The Cacao Ceremony at Inner Bliss

A cacao ceremony and yoga are very similar, using elemental healing practices such as breathwork, music, intention-setting, and sometimes chanting. The intention behind the ceremony is to open the heart and mind, encourage emotional release, and foster a deep sense of connection to oneself and others.

Students can expect to experience a deep sense of belonging, heart opening, stress relief, and spiritual exploration at the cacao ceremony. This medicine has been used for thousands of years to really unite the mind, body, soul, and HEART.

You do not need a mat to participate in the ceremony! You may find it comforting to have a block underneath your seat, but we will enter the ceremony in a circle, all facing each other with the hot pot of cacao in the middle of us. Students will experience a deeper attunement to what unites us all and how leading a heart-centered life is the most thrilling part of this life.
