Feel.
These days offer the chance to get really clear on what you want life to feel like on the proverbial “other side.”
We are burdened with many unknowns. But unrelated to the unknowns, is how we would like to FEEL.
How we would like to wake up feeling each day, is not dependent on exterior conditions. The land outside of our internal experience for sure influences the inner world - unless you are already enlightened :)
For those of us still on the ground at work on ourselves, it is worthy to imagine, daydream about how you want to feel. It’s a weird one - we are really good at: what do I want, what do I want to have, where do I want to live, what job do I want, what do I want my body to do for me and how do I want it to look, etc.
But how do you want to feel?
Spend some time “bliss-storming” words that capture a feeling that you love feeling. Write them down. Get a giant list and let the words be fun and juicy and maybe even a bit fantastical.
Once your list feels expansive, stare at it. A long time. Slowly (because we have time), start to pick the words that evoke a visceral response when you read them. The ones that you can feel in your body when you read them.
Land on 4-8 (depending on how good your memory is) words that capture how you want to feel. Write them down. If you like, on note cards in different colors or on a sticky pad in pen.
Keep coming back to these words. Remember them over and over. Let them be a mantra and a muse. Let these words be signage in your mind, directing you when you find yourself lost and inspiring you when overwhelm moves in.
Yikes! This got long but hopefully, worth it. How we feel is really, everything.
Big love,
Tammy
