looking forward.
The current moment is so rich and has so much to offer us.
It is real. And, those who are inhabiting the current moment alongside of us, deserve our presence.
It is also valuable to imagine the future with an uplifted heart and positive outcomes. This is the opposite of worry and in some ways, the antidote for angst about what tomorrow may bring.
Each night before bed, get out a notebook, journal, or just a piece of paper, and write out what you are looking forward to the next day. Be as detailed as possible as you imagine what you are excited about for the day ahead. How it will feel, who you will be with and any other details to enhance your imagining of a beautiful tomorrow!
Allow yourself to fall asleep contemplating all of your forwards.
This is a practice I need, we all need. Let’s try it for each other.
