The Experience, Meeting Two: Successes, Challenges, and Sara Green

We are not in it alone.

Sometimes just knowing this is enough to compel us to keep going on our journey to getting clear and letting go of old habits.

Vitamin LOVE is a source of non-food nourishment that feeds us on a deeper level.

Be sure to consider non-food sources of nourishment: meditation, creativity, relationships.

Assembling at the studio for the second time validated each of our commitments to The Experience. We enjoyed reaffirmations of our struggles and recognition of our successes.

In addition to the natural challenge that comes along with letting go of excess sugar, caffeine, alcohol, we found that several of us have further challenges. These involve limiting technology or social media, changing deeply ingrained habits, and creating personal quiet time in our busy schedules. Nonetheless, we have kept going and celebrate our successes.

These successes, in addition to the physical benefits of more yoga practices, seem to involve this workshop's heart-centered approach. We have found patience, kindness and appreciation in our daily lives. Soaking in wisdom from inspirational books is as nourishing as the whole food that we are eating.

Some of us are purging closets in our homes, clearing out the stuff that we have accumulated. We're clearing it out of our heads, too, while trying to reset bad habits that have slowly settled in over time.

Sara Green, founder of Passionfood Health Coaching, shared that our quest for nourishment can include non-food sources. Vitamin LOVE is a critical component of our wellness. In addition to eating mindfully, she suggested that we continue to cultivate a life of spiritual, creative fulfillment at home by incorporating what you LOVE to do in your life.
