North Ridge Farm Retreat Recap (September 8, 2023)

The One Day Retreat at North Ridge Farm on September 8 offered a beautiful, sacred space to feel grounded and balanced as the season shifted from summer into fall.

It was the perfect day to turn inward to align our bodies and energy with the wisdom of the earth.

The fall equinox is the time of year where the light (day) and dark (night) are held in balance. From this point forward, the days grow shorter and the nights grow longer. We align with this shift around us as it encourages us to draw inward and come back to our center after the bright abundance of outward energy of summer.

Throughout the day, we embodied this wisdom in many different practices:

With the quiet rain falling from the September sky, under the cover of the Big Red Barn we felt grounded, balanced and connected during our yoga practice with Katie.

We honored the truth of the body and were empowered and inspired by the willingness to share voices and open hearts with Bhakti with Anna in the beautiful Red Barn.

We love gathering in Dena’s beautiful solarium to soak up the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda that Lauren shared to support our bodies and souls with the natural cycles of nature. And we enjoyed some amazing snacks and refreshments too!

Gathering together in the Red Barn for the amazing dinner Dena created for us was simply unforgettable. We loved the conversation, the laughs, the energy of the community and the delicious locally and seasonally sourced food prepared with love by Dena and her beautiful family.

The sound bath and yoga nidra with Sally in the Red Barn were simply magical and cleared, cleansed and purified our minds, bodies and souls. The transformative healing space we shared together helped to seal in all of the magic from the day.

Standing together during the closing fire ceremony, connected by hands and hearts around the fire, we surrendered and offered up what we were ready to let go of as we turn inward to feel more balanced.
