The City Mission is building one of Cleveland's first transitional housing for mothers and children. Set to be completed in December, four new units will safely house 16 mothers and their children. Each family will remain on campus, giving children the stability of remaining in the same school and receiving supportive care on campus, while mothers have the gift of time to build their income.
However, The City Mission relies on donors to continue this crisis center’s care, with 84 cents of every dollar going directly to residents.
