My teaching style is about finding a balance between the physical challenges of yoga and the joy of the practice.
It's about helping students explore their bodies, cultivate mindfulness, and have a good time on the mat, all while nurturing a sense of playfulness and a relaxed attitude toward their practice.
While I emphasize the importance of alignment and safety, I don't take myself or the practice too seriously. I create a relaxed and non-judgmental atmosphere where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. Laughter and smiles are always welcome in my classes.
I practice yoga because…. it calms my anxious mind.
I teach yoga because….. we all move so fast these days, attached to our devices. I like sharing the ways in which we can slow down.
I find peace…. in my backyard, with a book.
I have been most influenced by… books, music, and the times I’ve been pushed out of my comfort zone.
Some of my favorite snacks are… sweet. (Remember Good n Plenty? Yum!)
I am happiest when… I’m in the moment and detached from worry and my phone.
I couldn’t live without… My phone. LOL.
When I’m not at Inner Bliss, you might find me… running, reading, walking my two dogs, or watching my twin boys play hockey.
My favorite mantra is….. “I do not smile because I am happy; I am happy because I smile.”
Every day I….. workout, walk my dogs, try to parent my teenagers, and hope that I show up most of the time as my best self.
