Yoga teaches us, asks us, begs us, to bend.
Yoga reminds us how far we can bend without breaking. As we practice, we feel into the room we have to bend and stretch past where we may have believed previously, we would break.
When we are kids, we can bend in all directions. Then little by little as we “grow up” suddenly there is restriction where there once was ease, brittleness where there once was elasticity, and we are faced with the question: will we practice bending in our minds, hearts and bodies so we can remain supple?
