a lyrical meditation.

Sit tall, open your hands and your heart.

What makes you come alive, what makes your energy rise?

Is it the thrill of unexpected victory or the agony of imagined defeat?

Is it the tumbling down of a geometric snowflake?

Or the quickening of your heartbeat in a moment of heated debate?

Maybe it is the walls coming down, the pink insulation like tissue beneath the surface?

What makes you come alive, what makes your energy rise?

What is it that moves you, what brings you to life?

Is it laying on the ground realizing you have not been found?

Is it the sun on your face or a moment of feeling in the right place?

Is it the best people making a circle around your heart or that they see your gifts right form the start

What makes you come alive, what makes your energy rise?

Is it the front door opening and someone returning?

The sound of your child’s voice singing or the feeling of tears burning

Is it the welcome embrace of a long, potentially lost friend or the soft pads on your dogs paw

Is it the brightest shade of orange in the setting of the sun

Is it the bathroom floor smelling clean or the sound of Om as you hum

Is it the music? Is that what moves your heart open?

Is that what brings you to life?

I want to know?

What makes you come alive, what makes your energy rise?

That is a question worth repeating 💛
