the exhale.
We have all experienced the feeling of indescribable ease at the end of an exhale as we lay down to rest in savasana.
That sense of ease waits there for us like a warm hug from love itself. Life doesn’t afford us the time and space for savasana as often as we need it, but somehow the need for ease arises multiple times a day.
One little trick we can practice is elongating the exhale.
Breathing in slowly through the nose and exhaling (through either the mouth or nose) twice as long as the inhale. Simply focusing on drawing out the exhale sends a message to our nervous system that while we may not be in savasna, we can move towards ease in that moment.
Lengthening the exhale is a direct path to ease in any moment.
Give it a whirl 😊
