feet planted.
It is often said that our greatest suffering comes from fear of the future and dread of the past. And that in the swinging back and forth like a crazed Tarzan, between these 2 polarities. we completely miss the luxuriousness of here and now, or the minuscule details of this minute, the one before us, exactly now.
Our thoughts, so seductive, love to sweep us up into the wild, raging ride of back and forth between what has already happened and what might happen. In this lure, our thoughts keep us trapped - not in, but trapped out of - the beauty that stands before us in real time.
What yoga knows, or has the courage to announce, is that the answer to this wild ride between the 2 polarities of insanity. is that through the breath and the body, we have all we need to get to the magical land of now. Yoga has always know this truth and she will keep coming for us to join her.
Yoga will whisper in our ear to plant our feet on the solid ground, legs strong, belly lifted, heart wide, head up and she will call to us to breathe in and raise our arms up, overhead to the heavens.
For me, the answer is yoga. It has always been and will always be, the breath, the body, the here, the now.
Get into your body today. Plant your feet, head up, heart open and take a breath.
XO,
Tammy
