goes.

I love the words: it comes, it goes, I stay.

I have looked up where this message originated and who to credit, but cannot find an author. There are other versions of this same sort of message - if it comes, let it come…etc, but this simple, powerful phrase: it comes, it goes, I stay…just lands right in the middle of my heart and sits there like it is meant to be. I think because it reminds me of our practice on the mat.

One pose, then another. One breath, then another. And we stay.

I asked a good friend of mine who works with professional athletes, what is the best coaching advice you have heard a coach share with players and he said, “stay with it”. To me, that is genius.

It comes, it goes, I stay.

When I get frustrated and feel overwhelmed, my husband reminds me, “stay on your path”.

Can we stay with our greatest truth, stay with our heart’s knowing, stay even when it gets edgy and then the most powerful, stay and listen.

The rise, the fall, it gets good and then not so good, the elevation, the descent, the falling, the landing. It comes, it goes, I stay. And breathe. And listen.

big love,
tammy
