yoga.

Good morning,

Below Michelle Bilski, IBY Manager for the past 13 years and the person who takes care of IBY & you as students each and every day, shares an experience that we all may be familiar with and in some ways, having ourselves.

“Due to Covid, my practice fell to the wayside when our studio doors closed last March. When we re-opened at limited capacity there were not a lot of classes that had an open spot for me, because our students come first! Although I started walking more and doing other things, I was only practicing 1-2 times per week instead of my usual 5-6.

Fast forward to this May. Our teachers, Laura H. Ross and Kim Rush, decided to do a 30 day yoga challenge at the studio. I thought...this is it, I'm going to begin practicing again daily and get back into the habit of a regular practice, no matter what it takes!

It takes effort for sure, I really need to plan and "schedule" my practice like a very important appointment that cannot be missed. It's a choice!

It's May 12th and so far I'm 12 for 12! Now 2 of those days were only 15 minute practices, but I was still on my mat! It also takes discipline to practice at home, putting the phone away and blocking out the sound of the dryer telling me the clothes are ready to be folded. Although I prefer practicing in the studio, the Zoom classes and the On Demand library have been such useful tools as well.

Already I have noticed my body changing, feeling stronger, calmer and I can feel my skin hugging a little bit tighter to the bones on my body. I'm also sleeping better and who does not love a good nights sleep?!

I have also been reminded that things can wait for 60 minutes while I practice. If I take the time to take care of myself I can better take care of others and that includes all of you!

I invite you to practice more and roll out your mat, you won't be disappointed! Please contact me if you need any assistance with scheduling or using our On Demand library, I'm always happy to help. Namaste, Michelle”

Thank you for all you do for us Michelle & for sharing your heart!

Big love,
Tammy
